YouthGovAI Consortium Travels to Athens

The YouthGovAI transnational project meeting took place on 7–9 September 2026 in Athens, hosted by the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”.

Representatives from all consortium partners came together to review the progress made so far, exchange insights and agree on the project’s next steps. A key focus of the meeting was the evaluation of the YouthGovAI educational platform, which has now entered its piloting phase. Early feedback has been both interesting and promising, providing valuable insights into how the platform can be further developed and strengthened.

With a focus on maximizing its potential and impact, partners shared experiences and findings from their respective countries and discussed ways to respond to the feedback emerging from the pilot phase. The meeting also explored effective dissemination and communication strategies to further increase the project’s visibility and reach.

Another important topic was the preparation of the YouthGovAI final conference, which will take place in Genoa in June 2027. The event will focus on a comprehensive approach to AI and youth participation in AI governance, featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions and workshops. It will also bring together relevant stakeholders and partners to reflect on the project’s findings, share experiences and open the conversation to a wider community.

Beyond the agenda, meeting in person provided an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration and exchange ideas face to face, alongside hybrid participation. The discussions resulted in important decisions for the months ahead and reinforced the team’s shared commitment, motivation and optimism as YouthGovAI moves into its next phase.
