YouthGovAI Attends the 3rd Working Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Education

Dora Katsamori, Scientific Responsible of the YouthGovAI project on behalf of NCSR-D, participated in the CoE’s “Artificial Intelligence and Education_3rd Working Conference” which took place on October 8 and 9, 2025 in Strasbourg as member of the CoE working group on AI & Education.

Why does Europe need a Common AI Framework for Education? How will the Council of Europe Compass for AI and Education contribute to ensuring responsible, ethical and human-centric uses of AI?

Two of the key questions discussed during the Conference focused on the need to give a voice to those directly involved, such as  children and youth.

The two-day conference organised by the Council of Europe Education Department gathers policy makers, educators, experts, members of academia, the tech sector and civil society to discuss the future of AI in the education context.

Participants shared insights, inputs and points of view helping step up the debate on these topics and advance Council of Europe’s work in this field. In the context of such a discussion, the YouthGovAI project’s objectives seem more relevant than ever!
